Shawn is responsible for the complete execution of all mechanical projects, as well as coordinating with other departments in order to help ensure project success. 

Expertise

Shawn has over 18 years of industry experience in a several major markets including commercial, government, healthcare, and construction. Starting off as a Helper, he worked his way up through the ranks to positions of increasing responsibility—such as Construction Manager and Director of Facilities—building his knowledge and expertise.  

Previously, Shawn worked for another division of EMCOR as a Lead Engineer. In this role, he oversaw the transition of a multi-million-dollar renovation project into an operations and maintenance contract, helping develop standard operating procedures and a robust maintenance plan at high-profile diplomatic embassy. 

Shawn sits on the Board of Industrial Trades in Washington, DC representing one of two First Class Steam Engineers for the city. He holds several professional accreditations, including Certified Professional Maintenance Manager, Certified Healthcare Emergency Power Professional, Maryland 2nd Grade Stationary Engineer License, and Master HVAC Licensure from Virginia and Maryland. 

Additionally, Shawn earned certificates in contract formation and administration from George Mason University, as well as project management from the University of the District of Columbia. He is a member of the American Society of Healthcare Engineers.

Personal Side

Outside of work, Shawn spends his time with his wife and family, traveling, enjoying Caribbean food, and attending comedy shows and basketball games.
